How to write your initials in diamond twill: A step-by-step tutorial.
You first want to begin your diamond twill process by sketching out your design. You will do this by first creating a grid. I made mine with 16 weft strings (the weft strings go horizontally whereas the columns go vertically). I then began to shade in my design with a pencil so I could easily erase any mistakes that I made. When applying this pattern to string, the colored in squares represent where you go over the warp strings whereas the uncolored in boxes represent where you go under the warp strings. When following the pattern you have created, you will want to follow it from the bottom up.
